72-72 Challenger Grill Trim Clips

Hey y'all,

Been searching the forums and the internet, but my Google-fu seems to be slipping.  Has anybody found these clips that slip into the grill trim on the 72-74 Challengers and snap around the grill?  Or does anyone have any extras that they would like to part with?  I'm missing three of them...

Those clips are NOT reproduced.  They would be an easy item for the aftermarket to make though.  You'd think someone would step up and make them since they were used for 3 years.

Well I have good news and bad news...

Located a promising sounding parts title at Jim's Auto Parts.  "Chrome Grill Moulding Clip Kit" part number GR-CK724CH.  Whopping 40 bucks for it.  Called them up since there is no picture of the "Chrome Grill Moulding Clip Kit" shown. 

I asked the lady that answered the phone "What do they look like?"  She went to talk to someone about my question and came back with..."We don't know what they look like." 

I asked "Can I get a picture of them before I spend 40 bucks plus shipping on 6-7 little clips so I won't have to spend return shipping on them if they are not right?".  She said "We don't do that, if you check back we update pictures from time to time." 

I ask.."Do you have them in stock?".  She says "I don't know."  "Well do you have a computer that tells you if you have stuff in stock."..."Yes, but I don't know if we have them." 

I asked who the manufacturer was and she says I can't say. 

I've never had someone not want to work to get my money before.  Anyone have a personal "in" with "Jim" or someone who is a little more helpful?  Maybe I'll try again later and see if someone else will answer the phone, but I really don't want to spend any money with that company after those shenanigans.

DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH JIMS.  There are 100 more posts just like yours on the internet.  It seems like they treat everyone this way. 

If the grill clips are available, they have just come on the market.  Just a short time ago, they were not reproduced.  There have been a few different people on this site parting out 72-74 Challengers.  Look them up and see if they have any clips.

I will remember to not deal with them again.

Good news is I just spoke with RT Specialties and he said we have something that isn't correct but will work.  Says they slide into the channel just fine and work well to attach the trim piece.  I ordered five of the little buggers and will report back when I get them.
