71 cuda gills??
« on: June 05, 2011 - 11:08:26 PM »
Has anyone added gills to fenders on a cuda? I have found the panel to put the gills on my fenders but I cant find any feedback about the product. Just curious if anyone has done this and how they did it.

I have heard mixed reviews on the weld in patch's and the reproduction gills's.

There are two places in the states that I know of that will stamp your actual fender if you send it to them.

Supposed to be really crisp and have good positioning.

A couple of years ago the Muscle Car TV series on Spike TV added gills with a aftermarket patch to a Cuda.
That segment may be on You Tube.  I'm at work, so I can't check.

I would use panel adhesive like Lord Fusor 108B and be done with it.

That's an interesting way to do it.

It might take me a few.   I have the information somewhere.
When I find it I will post it up.

For the fender stamping by the way.

the time and cost of shipping the fenders back and forth. you can have the plates welded in and them painted. thats not if they dont get damaged in shipping.

I have welded them in before ,too much chance of warpage and thats extra work. I would Glue them in with panel adheasive. Plus its waterproof so you dont have to worry about your body work lifting from behind.
