Looking for a pic of the ashtray light installed
« on: June 06, 2011 - 08:48:28 PM »
Does anyone have a pic of how the light installs into the ashtray? Just bought the light off ebay the hole in the housing is completely different. Wondering if I'm missing something else.

Thanks,
Brian

Are you still looking for this info?  I have this on my 70 challenger SE.  I'll take a photo when I get a chance.

Here's a photo of the bottom of the light bracket as it looks from the outside.  I have to disconnect my battery before I take remove the ashtray bracket.  I may get to that tomorrow, and post an internal photo.

Brian,

Check out the photo in this thread:  http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=79508.msg799902#msg799902

Slotts provided the photo that shows the ashtray wiring for me.  You can see the light socket (with the blue lens) and "U" bracket that holds it in, at the top of the black ashtray housing.  That might help answer your question.  I will still try to get a photo with the housing removed from the dashboard.
