440 4 barrel throttle cable length
« on: June 06, 2011 - 11:27:24 PM »
Hey all,
I'm wanting to buy a new throttle cable for my 440 swap (I understand that big blocks and small blocks need different cables?), Lokar or similar.
my old 318 cable was about 23" long.
How long is the cable for a 440 4 barrel?
Lokar sell a 24" cable, would this be sufficient?

Anyone with personal experience with the Lokar cables? Do you trim them to length? How strong is the attachment to the pedal?
This cable is going to get a very hard life on my car...    :burnout:

Cheers!
Aaron

When I bought my Challenger it had a 340 with a Thermoquad.  In restoring the car I went to a 440 and a Thermoquad.  I'm using the same 22" throttle cable but it is now too long and I had to loop it.  With the 440 I need a 16" cable.  Anyone know where I can get a 16" cable?  PK
