:iagree:  totally! He's done 3 out 4 of mine and I'm more than satisfied. As soon as I get a spare "Top Lift" he'll be doing that one too.

Just got back from a short cruise around town lights all working good.I will have to get in touch with slotts for a switch. Easy to see his stuff is top notch I may need a dimmer as well not sure if it`s bad I`ll get the headlight switch first before I pronounce the dimmer dead.
I did notice on my ride my temp gauge is working now, so buying the voltage limiter wasnt a waste of time for me! Which leads me to believe I`ll be taking out my sending unit to get the fuel gauge working.

I had an idea that worked out pretty good for jumping the dimmer switch I don`t know if anyone else tried this so I`m taking all the credit. Lol! I took a fuse the kind you find in modern cars gently bent the prongs to line up with the dimmer switch plug it fit in there perfectly. So now I have a jumper with circuit protection built in just in case anything decides to go wrong!

SUCCESS!  :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Turns out after all that the headlight switch was bad and it only took 5 days to figure out! :faint:

I ended up wrapping  some copper wire around the bottom 3 contacts of the switch to get the lights on. Even then the dome light didn`t come on so I pulled out the bulb to check it and when I was putting it back in my hand slipped and I shoved the bulb in hard and the light came on.

All this was to get at my voltage limiter to get my fuel and temp gauges working and after putting in the new limiter from dashworks my gauges still don`t work!  :banghead: I`m gonna save this problem for another day. At least I get the peace of mind knowing I wont fry my gauges

So now where can I find a new headlight switch?

Member Slotts refurbishes them.  Excellent pieces.
