I just went through that edition and I can't believe  "Scott Shanks" lives in my small town and I never met or heard of him....Oh well, I am more famous than him anyway and I bet I have more toys than he.   :grinyes:

I have one too ( foam) It's nice I like it. Someday I'd really like to get a leather one but  :money: I like the center cap Scott Shanks has in his!

The original Tuff wheel is FOAM not too durable in the California heat but I am sure leather would have done the same thing that the original one did in my car! kind of weird the wheel is foam but the horm button is leather?   :clueless:  go figure!!! it original factory stuff (off different challenger) so I am not gonna muck with it!

I don't belive the Tuff wheel was ever an factory option on a E-Body.

I picked up one at the Mopars on the Mississippi show maybe 2 years ago. $40 I jumped on it! Only 10hp tho  I must say it makes getting in and out so much easier. Lots more comfortable too.

thanks! Actually its foam, it had a little tarnish and a few small divots in it. I took some mothers metal polish and some RTV black. I think it turned out real nice.  :burnout:

Bill , I really like it! Fit and finish were nice and easy install too. Got mine from Steve (quapman). Its got second looks at cruise nights more than once. A few folks thought I changed her over to a 4 speed. Untill they took a second look.   :burnout:

I got mine from steve also ( Quapman) I love it! Works great! Quality stuff!  It's definatly caused some wear on the rear tires!  :burnout:  :grinyes: He has 2 styles one for a 70 ( round at the base) and 71-74 (square at the base.)
PM him to see if he has some ready?

Mine is a gunslinger! and it is a little different than the autogrip instead of a straight thumb grip it has a rounded one so you can hook your thumb into it and it won't slide out! mine fit in great too! and Jason over at Gunslinger manufacturers them himself and I spoke to him personally what a great guy!   :2thumbs:  quick turn around time I had it in no time at all!! not to say anything against the autogrip since I have never seen one but the gunslinger one ROCKS!!   :woo:
