Window Regulators + door locks
« on: June 11, 2011 - 03:25:34 PM »
Anyone have a suggestion on the best books to cove these? Something with lots of pictures.

I have electric windows and I've never seen the assembles installed, so I don't know what parts I may be missing. Same goes for the rods, parts and pieces for the door locks. I pulled out the boxes of parts I have and realized I don't have the first frickin clue how they go together  :clueless:

Thanks

Get hold of a reproduction factory service manual on ebay or such.. Worth their weight in gold.  For OEM used parts I have had very good service from Steve's muscle cars.
http://www.stevesparts.com/
He had all the nit-pic parts I needed, the parts were in good to excellent condition depending on what your looking for, he answered questions with knowledge and provided copies of factory diagrams when needed.  When I was really stuck (like you putting the doors back together) and got NO answers from the forum, Steve would have an answer and sent me photos of the parts (assembled doors, etc) and documentation to back it up.   Just plain old fashioned good service and a square deal.

Phil   I have the service manual and your right it is worth it's weight in gold. I was hoping maybe someone had something with better pictures. Thanks for the heads up on Steve. I'll be talking with him ASAP. All the little clips and parts are giving me a headache.

Thanks

Todd
