Well, the bar arrived today and of course, like a kid at christmas, I had to open the box...which led to me reading the instructions, which led me to look under the car 'for just a second", which led me to an install...LOL
Took two hours......I wasted some time figuring out how to attack the install.....supposed to install with the car sitting on the ground, but I couldnt get my car up the ramps in the garage (kept sliding).....so I ended up jacking up the car, setting it on stands using the frame, also removng the passenger wheel for clearance, then threading the bar thru the k member and installing the mounting plate and such....then dropped the car to the ground and finished it.....kind of a pita squeezing my fat body under there....LOL.....lots of cuss words....but overall not bad.
Its installed!
One question I had for y'all though....
I had been using one of the k member holes for the one end of my chain engine tie down....weel now that hole is being used by the mounting plate for the sway bar.
Option one would be to drill a hole in the plate itself for the end of the chain.....its THICK metal and not sure how easy or hard that will be.
Option two would be to try and drill anotehr hole somewhere along the edge of the k-member....
Any thoughts which would be better or worse? Seems like neither should do any harm...but figured I best ask the family (you guys) and see whatcha thought.
