I prefer the rear sway bars that bolt to the frame & link down to the diff like the factory bars , the ones that bolt to the diff & link ot the frame I have seen pull away from the frame rail damaging the rail

I was looking at a Hellwig rear bar to match the front I already purchased. I think it mounts the way you say could be a problem.  What other bars besides stock mount to the frame the way you're talking about?  Hotchkis might, not sure though.

The Hotchkis bar has a bracket you weld to the frame rail. It spreads out the load pretty good I can't see it ever ripping off the frame rail, too much surface area.

From Brads pic, I would say it would be no problem. My pst bar mounted with a u-bolt instead of a bracket. That u-bolt is what pulled through the frame metal. The Hotchkis bracket looks pretty good.  :2cents:

Thanks guys, looks like I've got another reason to go with Hotchkis, unless I just go with stock bars front & back which was my original plan ....  but the more I watch that video of the Hotchkis Challenger at Willow Springs the more I really want to go that route.

Hotchkis and PST's "pro-touring" sway bars . The PST bars look exactly like the Hotchkis set up?

Thanks....PST' site kind of sucks IMHO......couldnt find the pro touring listed anywhere (unless I am blind) so I did a goggle search and found the link...

  I never measured it but it is significant! I could hold the sway bar with one finger!  :grinyes:

Not sure I can run a rear as my car sits right now....I have add a leafs in teh rear so she sits higher than the stock height.

That said, she is pretty firm in the back already with the add a leafs....

So concentrating on the front for now.

I am leaning toward the hollow one.......for $50 , if the weight difference is that dramatic, makes sense to me.

I am growing more frustrated with PST.

Not their productm but their website/catalogs.

I got a PST catalog in the mail the other day and that got me thinking about the sway bar again.  The catalog lists the pro touring bar at $199 for my car.......$169 for the g-max.

So I get online to order.

The site shows the protouring for $229 and the standard for $179.

THeir online description also says that "some or all of the OEM hardware must be used. WHereas the catalog infers that you get everything you need...ie a kit.

So WTF.

Does anyone from PST check in here?

Called when I got home.......the new catalog price was correct ($199) and free shipping...    :woo:

Ordered the pro touring.

Now, just hope it fits thru my k-member without too much trouble...LOL

I have front and rear sets, pro-touring G-Max from PST.
Still working out a few bugs in the front suspension before I can install them
- Can't get the brake hose off that runs from the hub to the hard line. So, replace the next Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) in the system: the brake lines. 
Ordered them from Classic Industries last week, should be here soon.
- Also received the power brake booster/master cyl from Mancini Racing yesterday.  The master cyl is a lot heavier than it looks.

Anyway, Hope the sway bar install goes easily - Lord knows it would be nice to have a project go smoothly
