I have been watching this subject for quite awhile now. Myself, I never buy until a new product until it is actually available, by that I mean until I see at least a first run line, (more than one or two) actually seen by myself, or has been installed by a few previous customers
I'm sure I'm opening myself to flaming, but I can certianly understand those who might purchase them without actually being avaialble yet due to the unique nature of the grill: Its hard to pass up on the opportunity on the possibility to get one
But the comment that follows concerns me:, "They will get here when they get here", sure doesnt sound very customer oriented, nor does it sound like anyone really knows what/when the status of arrival will be. Its been delayed at least 2 times so far.................
I remember a crew awhile back that said they had them, received payment, and they just disspeared: Not saying by any means that this current company is doing the same thing: But I am saying you cant blame the folks that have paid now for asking the status, and really not getting a detailed explanation of what the status is.
Before I get thermited, take a long look at the post trail of this subject: Promise, then delayed, then delayed again, with no real, detailed explanations of why the delay or where they are being made: Especially considering the fact that folks responded quick and paid for them upfront when orders were first taken, months ago......
The folks that have paid upfront so far deserve a more detailed explanation. If one cant be provided, then the comment they will get here when they get here is what the folks that have paid will just have to sit and simmer on. But to me, thats not fair or customer friendly: Customer loyalty upfront deserves more in return
All I ask in retrun to this post is to give the paying customers a more detailed of the "5 W's": So far, most of the "where are they" responses have been somewhat blunt and vauge
Do I want one? You bet..... But I dont have a solid feel of what is going on at this time, and I dont beleive those who have paid do either...........
Since I dont have a solid feel yet, I keep looking for an OEM one that I can restore
I dont know any of the folks involved in the biz side of this product, and I dont doubt thier honesty at this point: But I am dealing with the info that has been passed out so fa,r and it is vauge and seems not very customer friendly
