I just did a search in the suspension catagory and couldnt find an answer. So here goes. I am replacing my LCA bushing with poly ones from hotchkis. I pushed out my pins, and and removed the bushings. I blasted the LCAs and welded in stiffing plates
and added sway bar mounts from hotchkis. Paint is done. Now I need to install the bushing and pins. I understand that I should instal the bushing into the LCA first, and then press in the pin. Question is where do I add the grease to prevent squeeks? Between the pin and bushing or between the bushing and LCA? Do I need to add grease to the pin where it goes into the K frame?
My search has confused me a bit too. I didnt remove any sleeves from the LCA or the pin. The bushing is just poly, no sleeve. The bushing slides onto the pin with little force but will need to be pressed into the LCA. Do I need some special pins for the poly bushing like I have read, or will the stock one work?
Thanks for any advice you guys can give me. I know there is a thousand LCA questions, but I didnt find what I was looking for. Jordan
