Wing It?
« on: June 16, 2011 - 12:08:50 AM »
Sorry to  :horse: but I need some other opinions. I hadn't really considered a wing for my car until I decided I was going to do the Hockey Stripes and one of my friends mentioned that he thought the go-wing would look good with it too and give it a mean sort of look. I am pretty much on the fence as of right now. I really like the look of the wing on the Cuda, but not certain it would work well on my color, given its color and options as it is now. Still, its tempting since I have been presented with an opportunity to get a Go-wing (complete) for a really good price.

Here are a few pics of my car, hope this helps:

Awesome car! Go w/ hockey stripe would be cool!   :2thumbs:

I'm not a big fan of the Wing.

Go with the Hockey Stripe and consider some raised white letter tires.

Thanks for the two replies, keep 'em coming :)

Thanks Matt70!

Challengermaniac, the tires actually have the white lettering, but I had the tires put on the rims so that they would face inwards. I thought the white letters would clash with the red and black? Maybe next time around I will go white letters out :)

For 1970s, go w/the AAR if you must wing it (spoiler it).

I only like the 71 go -wing and they look dumb on non-71s.

70 go-wing always looks bowed as if someone sat on them in the middle.

I say go with the go-wing. It will match your black top too.

I have a straight 1970 go-wing I'll be gettin rid of later this summer if the other one doesn't work out.

Wing it dude.

I like the go-wings but the sides of your car look a little plain and the hockey stick stripe would make it look a bit more racey and give the sides a little more definition.  :2cents:

Maybe if you or someone else can photoshop a stripe pic then a wing pic?  :dunno:

Personally, I like the wings. I think it all comes down to personal taste. I agree with the photoshop idea though.

The hockey stripes are over done.  If the car didn't come with it I wouldn't put it on.   :2cents:

The car does need something to break up the color a little.  Don't hate me but I think body side moldings would look good on that car.  I'd find out what kind of tape stripe was available in 1970 and go with that since finding side moldings is going to be impossible.
