So what is the difference between the 70 and 71 wing? Because I plan on getting one.

1970 style:

1971 style (Gull wing, so knicknamed):

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Since I have not seen either the 70 or the 71 wing in person.................what would keep you from mounting the 70 wing with the tips pointing toward the rear and not toward the front as they appear on the black chally?  The mounting  stands would bolt on the same way but just turn around the wing.

On the 70, both of the turn down edges are tapered. On the 71 gull wing, there is only 1 taper from the front to the back
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Nice ride. I would have considered paint a lighter hockey stick in the same color as the car covered with clear coat.

Tthe blk stick accents the vinyl top.

Does the  inside of the trunk lid have the cutouts for a spoiler.
I have a set of side body trim from my sons 1st barracuda.

Louvers look sick, but I have always been under the impression that they make cleaning the rear window a total PITA. How does it impact visibility?

I have them, take seconds to pull the 2 pins and flip up the louvers to clean the window.I rest them on a towel on the roof. Actually I find they help keep the window cleaner as most of the rain etc.... never hits the window.  Here is a picture of mine, I don't find it affects visability at all? They are pricey though, I paid $1200 for mine but.... I had to have them once I saw them. :grinyes:

First of all, your Cuda is  :wow: :droolingbounce: :wow:

Thread reminded me of a Cuda I saw at Lebanon Valley recently.
It may help you in your choice of the go wing.........and also the louver option too.
I think they would look nice on your car, but still at odds with how it will look with the hockey stripe on now  :dunno:

AARuFAST, I LOVE the pink AAR. I joke with my dad that my second 'Cuda will be a Panther Pink AAR all the time hahah.

So I was looking at the car today and I think I want to try and track down the chrome wheel well moulding/trim. When my dad bought the car 16? years ago it wasn't on it. I don't know if the previous owner removed it or what, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did (he took off the 'cuda and plymouth emblems off and put FORD emblems in place  :screwy: :puke:).

Are the wheel trim pieces hard to track down? I cruised Craigslist and didn't see anything and I haven't been as diligent about checking cl for Cuda parts lately...

As for the wing, in the future I want to buy a repro trunk lid and have it painted and mount a wing on it. Then I can "play" and see what look I like better. Personally I think I like the go wing better than the gull wing, but I can see why some guys like the gull wing over the go wing. I also really like the AAR spoiler... hmmm
