Installing the fast ez efi on my 440.  Problem is the fuel psi gauge is showing 80 psi, and we cant get it to drop.  Is it the fuel pump?  the regulator?  any thoughts welcome.   thanks.

something on the return side is restricting the flow back to the tank.  Make sure the return line is open from the regulator back to the tank.  next step would be to see if the regulator is stuck in the closed position.

Its a brand new 3/8 return line from regulator to tank.  How do i check if the regulator is stuck?
edit: I dont think it can be stuck as we had sprung leaks after it, thats why we got the new return line.

Ok, update.. Took the return line off at the tank and let it empty into a bucket.  The pressure went down to where it should be, so that would mean the obstruction is in the lines going into the tank.  Any thoughts on how to clear it?

Is the return submerged?

if it emptied into the bucket, then the problem is not in the line...takes you to the tank.

If you remove the tank cap, does it work properly?  If not, you are going to have to pull the sending unit/pick up and follow the path thru it.;

Sorry, I meant to say the tank.  Thanks for the suggestions.  I'll give them a go tomorrow.

The vapor separator was the choke point.  It hasnt been hooked up since I had the car(no canister), and seems to have seized up inside.  We bypassed it, blocked off a couple of the lines coming out of the tank and used one as a vent, with fuel line and a filter.  Also have a vented gas cap.  Seems to be working fine.  Wanted to thank you all for your help.
