poor intake at best , I had one with a domiunator top , great power 4000-up to where
I pulled the top & I bet there was 1/2 lt of fuel in the intake goiung nowhere , switched to Team G & it worked better everywhere except maybe 7000 rpm up
I would leave it alone

Ya that 2 that say the same thing( Jason)   Looks great but performance sucks.

i have done a lot  research on the str14, i have one also, they came in two styles, one str14/4 and str14/6 and then there was the str14/8,the str14/4 and /6 tops wont fit the st14/8,the bottom manifold is cast dfifferently, so , you cant put a crossram (2x4) top on a single 4or 6 pack manifold, also the dc mod books really only touch on the subject , not a lot of info there either

All tops interchange on my manifold.  They do the same on my buddies manifold also.

youre base must be a str14/8 i believe , as the str14/4 and /6 base didnt come as dual quad. youre a lucky man

I too like everyone else love the looks of theses manifolds...but honestly prefer weiands version of the six pack. I know a big problem with these intakes (from what i've read) is the sheer volume inside the intake itself...kinda a stupid thought but what if you could mill/make a new top to cut some of that volume as well as get it to fit under a shaker hood.

I finally got a few hours to pull this stuff out.  I tried to get the manifolds sitting at the same height as if they were both on an engine.  The STR is still sitting around 3/8 inches lower than the stock 6 pack manifold.  The STR is around a 2 inches taller than the stock manifold.

I have two of these manifolds.  This is an unmodified bottom half.

Here are the three tops that I have.  The 2-4 top does not have Edelbrock or Chrysler numbers on it. It looks as if it was sold as a blank top that you could do whatever you wanted with.  All tops have the same bolt pattern and will interchange.  These manifolds were sold with the intent that they would be modified or finished to suit the purpose that they would end up used for.  For instance if I were to finish this bottom for a 6 pack it will not work well with the 2-4's or a single 4.  I have some literature also.  After Al posts what he has I'll add to it if I have anything he does not have.

Looks like it's too tall  to work with my T/A style base. . Most likely would with a 6-pack style base as it doesn't seal to the hood?
Are you sure the base hasen't been modified, the pictures I've seen have a rib that your supposed to modify near the bottom of the intake port.
Wish it would work good on the street....sure looks cool!
