Finally after 20yrs I'm in a Mopar!
« on: June 23, 2011 - 12:36:58 AM »
My first car when I was 18yrs old was a 70 Challenger RT "U" code 440. I still remember the VIN by memorization, and I'd be curious as to who has the car now.

Anyways. Fast Forward 21yrs and I just picked up a 71 Challenger. (Not a real RT) (and I don't care...It's a real Challenger LOL :)

Body is fantastic. and it's white! Has a 440 Magnum in it, and I couldn't be happier.
I thought I'd never get one again!

Nothing Better than an E-Body Challenger/Cuda.

I am proud to be part of the board here, and I'm welcome to any suggestions.
Thanks

Welcome!  Two things....

needs some pictures of your Challenger

and go watch Vanishing Point again!
 :2thumbs:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

When I was 5Yrs old visiting my cousins in Detroit. I'll never forget late one night staying up and watching Vanishing Point with my Cousin who would tell me "Look! Look! This Freakin car is cool Man!
I watched that movie 50 Thousand times. and continue to watch it on DVD.

Awesome!! Thanks for the movie. I'll downloading it now.
I'm in Richmond Hill, Ontario and usually go to the local neighboring shows with my Trans AM or Corvette.
Do you guys know how grueling it was not owning a Challenger?
When I sold my first Challenger back in 1991 I regretted it ever since.
I use to wake up with nightmares that the car was gone.. and it was!!
Then the market soared and I thought forget it now.. No way I'll touch one again at these astronomical prices.
They don't come up for sale every day, and to find one now that the market cooled off a bit was a blessing in timing for me.
There is a distinct sound a 440 makes and does it sound mean.
I have to admit. Mopar is the Leader of the Pack when it comes to Nostalgic Muscle cars.. Their Engine packages/Body Styles.. Unparralled Coolness that everyone knows and dreams about.
