changing a dash pad... how long should it take?
« on: June 25, 2011 - 11:28:53 AM »
Ok just got a dash pad, and I'll have it before Carlisle. How long would you think it will take to swap it out? Car is assembled, ie, windsheild is in etc.....
Any tips for a  :newbie:   :grinyes: ?  I'm guessing getting at those hold down nuts will be "fun"?
I was planning to do it during the winter, but....?
What kind of time would it take? 4 hours? More?

Are you doing it with the dash frame in the car, or are you taking the whole dash out?

Remove the whole enchilada. Don't forget to disconnect the speedo cable!

Being a first-timer, I'd give you 4-8 hours.

I did a thread on dash R&R a couple years back.
