Camera is the expensive part, there are 3 options for the GoPro3. I went with the middle one which was a little over $300. They have different bundles with the camera and several brackets. My new mount I picked up for $50.

Yeah, I've never seen those before.

And I just discovered the huge rubber inserts in the front bumper corners. Till now I only saw small black ones. I think I have to take a closer look to a 74 Challenger.

Couple of small engine projects this week. First I started with the fuel line. It looked like this:

When I got it all apart (from the filter upwards) this is what I tossed. I'm really not sure why that hard line had so many bends....

While I was waiting for parts my Mopar plug wires showed up, so I swapped them in:

Then I got back to the fuel line and after chasing down some leaks I finally had the hard lines in place:

And here it is all back together:

Enjoy your posts. Just wanted to mention that you don't need to (and shouldn't) put Teflon tape on flare fittings. They seal at the flare not at the threads. If you have a leak there it is because it is not seating at the flare properly, not a thread problem. You also run the risk of getting the tape in the system and plugging something up.

Some of the fittings are NPT and not flare. The NPT ones do require the tape or they leak. They are hard to see as they are the brass fittings that are under the heater hoses. They adapt the flare fitting into the NPT fitting that the Holley carb line required. Since it was a mixture of the 2 types I felt it was best to tape everything and make sure it was only on the threads.

A flare fitting uses a straight thread as the torque of the fitting crushes the flare onto its mating surface providing the seal. Also Teflon tape isn't a sealing agent, it is a lubricant. It allows you to tighten greater pipe thread. The taper of a pipe thread provides its own seal. The taper in effect gives it a press fit. For six years I was in charge of hydraulic assemblies at my shop and I learned when you needed Teflon tape, thread sealant, or none was fine.

Ok, now that I got that out of the way, where did you find that dual inlet line? The one I have is right against my electric choke and it bugs the snot out of me.

They also offer a version with a pressure gauge if you want it. I was trying to get something that looked kinda stock so I opted for one without it.

Well Jamiez, after starting to read this post I couldn't stop, lol I love mopar and yours must be one the rarest colours I have ever seen and looks like a million bucks. So you have one sweet car, I have one question about your new windshield bottle, where did you find it and did it come with little pump, I need the exact one, mine was so dry and brittle that when I went to remove cap it shattered, lol Thanks and enjoy your classic............

I'm paranoid of fuel leaks and a fire. I'm glad you got rid of those rubber lines. After I'm done driving my car, I disconnect the battery and leave the hood up. I have to look out in the garage a few times just to be sure everything is OK.

The washer bottle and motor were purchased off eBay. Make sure you get the correct motor or at least one you can clock as there is not a lot of room at the bottom.

As for the fuel line....the old one really never leaked.....except for a few times I had it off and didn't get it back on correctly. But during the switch over I did a bad job with the connections at one point and it sprayed fuel all over the place....now that was scary
