I asked for the fender tag readout.  that should shed alittle light on the situation.

It has a later year steering wheel on it, so it could be a Frankencuda.

Still, that price looks tempting.

Cool.
I would call and set it up now.
If he emails me info on the fender tag, I will definitely list it here.

Someone go check that out!  Obviously the guy doesn't know what he has (regardless of what it is).  Could be a great find!

Must be a 70.
Look closely. You can see the rallye guage hole in the bezel where the knobs go into.

I emailed the guy yesterday and he emailed me back.  He said the engine, transmission and front grill are missing.  He has a clean title but no fender tag.  He said the car is supposed to be Red with a White top.  Too bad about the fender tag it looks like it would be a great project for someone.

Is the VIN in the ad correct, as in it being a 1971 or did the seller misread or mistype something??

Vin is not correct for either year. Definately a typo there 5th and /or 6th digit. Which are most important. Engine deasignation and year.

I wonder why I did not get an email back from the guy.

Glad someone did.

Definitely too bad about the fender tag.

I can email the guy about the VIN #.  I noticed that too about the VIN # being off but forgot to ask the guy about it.  The guys email is: buckgoodman@yahoo.com if anyone wants to email the guy.
Cuda Hunter,
You are right, it is too bad about the fender tag.
If someone is close they need to go see the car and let us know what they think about it.  If we were closer we would go check it out.
