Wow that sucks.  Cash is king, but if even cash won't motivate him then time to try a new tactic.  Approach him like you're trying to marry his daughter.  Tell him you PROMISE to take GOOD care of her and he can visit on weekends etc.  It's an emotional bond so best to try working from that angle.  Good luck!

He's living with his 81 years old mother... I doubt if he's been laid in 30 years.... if ever...   :icon16:

Is that banjos I hear playing....

Never the less, as childless as he may be, the car IS his kid, wife or some strange combination of the two.  Either way, I'd give the thing a thorough cleaning if it's ever purchased!

Just noticed this thread-hope it goes better. I just hate to see cars with so much potential go to waste.

There's one like that 'here' too. Way back in the day, I used to have a few beers with a guy with an awesome 68 Charger RT 440, red over black.. He still has it, hasn't driven it for at least 25 years, sits in a dirt floor shed rotting away. I know he's a half bubble off plumb, so I never tried to buy the car from him, but several if not dozens of folks have tried. He's still a bachelor and says he's "going to give it to his niece".

I know how you feel about guy that just will not let go! I had a AAR and this guy had one just like mine but it had a muril on his.
His is sitting in a shed ready to fall he was the first owner. His is all rotted out to where it might fold. He was had a guy that was going to give him $40000 CASH and he did not take it. So I know that some you just can not buy no matter what the price. Hope you can buy it!
