Hey guys,
I have installed the painless10127 harness in my 73 Cuda with 2 speed wiper motor and wiper motor only works when door open or dome lite is on heeeellllppp, I know its crazy, so I did try eliminating the pink wire and using another ign. wire with power to the switch and it did exactly the same thing, also we just tried unhooking the wire at the dome light button and the wiper mtr stops working, so I am leaning towards a grounding problem? Maybe?
any help is greatly apreciated

I'm thinking ground myself, but I'm just an ol' parts dealer. Someone will chime in I'm sure.

You either don't have the screw that goes in the bottom of the switch panel closest to the door in place or the contact point between your switch panel frame and the dash frame is corroded and needs cleaned. Your wiper motor will work when the door is open because you are enabling a ground path from the door being opened or with it closed and turning on the dome light from your dash dimmer switch.

hey slotts,
I just put the dash back in the car after painting it, I did scratch and make sure the dash frame has a good ground but I am using an after market gauge set and plastic frame, can you show me aor point me to exactly where the switch section should be grounded?

The A position is how the factory passed ground from the dash frame to the switch panel by installing that one screw.
The B position is where you could install a separate wire with a O eyelet crimp connector and go anywhere you want to a ground point.
