Got blown away like an idiot
« on: July 02, 2011 - 10:45:01 AM »
The other day i was cruzing from a car show and i pull up to a stop light and a cadillac pulls up next to me and starts revving its engine. so i think nothing of it at first and when the light changes the kid takes off like a bat out of hell. i didnt care wasnt in the mood to race through the town at that point. so a few more lights later and they keep doing the same thing. finally we were at a light right before it turns to highway and i decided **** it im gona punch it. well the kid in the cadillac punches it and i hesitated at first. well i start catching up but then slow off when we get to the speed limit. well the kid pulls away so i decide **** it and try to keep up but to no prevail.
Later i realize that cadillac was a 32 valve north star. my little 360 just doesnt have enough power right now to keep up.

OH yea time for some more power. i need to put new cams in right now i have the stock ones that came with it from the 75 charger. Soon when i get the money i either want to put a 5.7 Hemi in or possibly bore another 360 out to abut a 408.

I learned a while ago not to mess with caddys.  When I drag raced my SRT-4 I thought it was a rocket ship.  Then I lined up next to 2 teens in their daddys caddy.  They beat me by a FULL SECOND!.  I later learned it was a CTS-V.  I guess if you spend that kind of money you would be able to pull 12's while in a leather seat watching a DVD with the AC on!
Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?

You're on the money there Jesus! The Caddys were so fast in their class sedan racing that they won everything they entered and ended up having to add 200lbs of ballast to let the other guys have a chance. Those LS engines make good power.

:iagree:  I drove a couple CTS-V cars and they surprised the daylights out of me how fast they were and how well they handled, and those were the ones WITHOUT the supercharger!!!!  :faint:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Considering you were catching up (after you hesitated off the line), and then hesitated (again!!!) and couldn't catch back up after that, you might've done a bit better if you hadn't taken your foot off the go pedal lol.
Cuda is gone :(
