In over my head challenger ITS DONE FINALLY
« on: July 02, 2011 - 07:12:38 PM »
After six years and four body men my car is being prepped for paint as I type. I never thought I would see this day, the next pics should have color.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

Hopefully my pics work. I got the car back just befor Carlisle but got a new camera and couldn't figure it out, so here it goes.  Looks like it works. The car will not sit this high in the back when finished as calvert mono leafs and cal tracs will be going in place of the ss springs. The motor is done and just picked up the tranny. Brand new coan converter just came so the drive train can go in as soon as I get a little time. More updates to come, this is finally getting fun.

The color is actually from the show Trucks with Stacey David (now Gearz on speed). He did a 70 Chevy pickup called project copperhead and PPG has it as one of their custom colors, called copperhead metallic.

Thanks everyone, slowly starting to put it back together. The little things like getting the door glass and quarter glass back in is kicking my but. I to would like to see it in the sunlight, the truck dropped it off after dark and I have kept it in the garage since. Maybe over the weekend I will push it out and get some progree pics in the sun.
