    As it looks i wouldn't give him more than $4000 for it.  And if he would take it i would probably take it off his hands, numbers matching doesn't bother me too much

    Not really a numbers matching if there are only some of the numbers.

    I don't think anyone would swap in a 225 and torqueflite or that it would matter to the person who will build this into a great car with original sheetmetal, not a welded together piece of aftermarket frame/floor/trunk/quarter pieces.  Anyone who has done that will never do it again... Just ask.   The car is available at this moment but won't be for long...I do not believe there is a build sheet.

    The 1970 car is rusty, but can be saved, the 72 just barely visible in some of the pictures is not salvagable, IMO. It is actually half of two cars welded together.

    Would I be better of parting these cars out, or trying to find someone who can restore the one? Is the 1970 car worth 2k?

    My intent is to put the proceeds from these cars along with some other cash to buy a more complete car down the road a peice.  my current project has convinced me that my tools, time and expertise are just not up to task for this big a project.

    Looks like a nice car.   Hard to tell, but looks like the wrong front seats, missing the expensive dash pieces and I'm sure if I could see more photos I could find other things that have been done to the car in the last 41 years. However, it does look pretty solid.  Wish I could put it on my lift and go over it real good, but I would think it's about a $5,000 to $6,500 car if ALL the hard to find 70 stuff is there and if it's SUPER solid.  NO WAY is it going to get $12,000 to anyone who knows this stuff.  Sorry, but without the fender tag and a build sheet not really highly desirable other than as a body to build a custom.

    Now if you started with a real rusty field car E-Body that needed lots of sheet metal replaced and had to pay to have the work done at a bodyshop at $80++ and hour, it adds up very fast, money is coming out of your wallet 20X faster than it's going in. Add Freight for parts, Body Parts, Labour, etc.....

    And if you did it yourself, how many years would it take and sit on the rotisserie? Then get bored or run out of $$$ and sell it once it's all apart like we have seen so many times in the past with the $2,000 Project Cars.
