alternator bypass to the starter relay
« on: July 04, 2011 - 02:01:10 PM »
Guys;

I have a 340 73 chally and I have installed a larger radiator with fans and now I need a larger output alt. I have a 75 amp on order and want to do the bypass wiring to the starter relay. When I got the car, the connection to the steering column was just about melted so I am a little sensitive to this issue.

Anyway all that is fixed with new wiring harnesses now, and I want to be sure I add the bypass wire correctly.

So with a 3 connection alt, I would attach the bypass wire to the lug connection on the alt and to the battery positive side of the starter relay?

Thanks much.
