"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

Hey Greg

Man that color is bright!  It needed the vinyl top to break up some of that color.  Are you putting any other stripes on it?  What did you tell me you were working on after you got the green car done?  Was is a 57 or 58 Fury maybe?  How's that car coming?

:iagree:   What about a black rump stripe.  I think that would really pop on the Petty Blue.

yea Darren, i'm gonna do a stripe but it gonna be a T/A stripe, without the T/A in it. it's been a hard stripe
to locate, but i haven't been trying super hard to find one yet. no 340 six pack either, just the stripe. the
vinyl top helped out A LOT, it broke up all that blue.

i did start on the '58. but that got derailed temporarily. the '74 Challenger (blue one) was suppose to be just
some quick body work and paint, but we all know how that goes  :roflsmiley: and on top of that i've had
issues with my father so things haven't progressed as fast as i'd like. i did get 1/2 the disc brake conversion
on the '58, gotta finish that up too. i'll tell you this, working on those cars is completely different than working
on the 60's and 70's cars. here's a couple pics. (not to hijack my own thread)

oh and thanks guys for all the nice comments!

i got the starter in last night

i had to remove the header from underneath, pull the steering column,  drop the centerlink,
put the starter in place sideways, put the header back in and bolt everything back together.

thanks Lakewood bellhousing  :pullinghair:

the '58 was the car that was suppose to be in the garage this winter. but time other things didn't allow it.

i've been trying to get the '74 back together so i can start working on the '58 but i have a '72 vette conv. that i'm replacing the rear on. that job is for $ $ $ $

i'm getting so close i can almost smell it

i had to reposition the distributor and move the wires on the cap. these new valve covers are taller
than the old ones and got in the way of #1, 2, 7, and the coil wire.

stupid sideways distributor  :swear:
