Vintage Air fitment trouble on 440 six pack

Have Dodge Challenger 73 440 Six Pack (originally A/C car with small block)

Have purchassed Vintage Air kit, but have trouble installing the compressor as the six pack air filter is in the way, do any of you know a solution to this and do you have some pictures on how it is done, I can not find any so far on the web. Need fast answer as it is in garage with mechanics

I have mounted the AC compressor using these brackets from this vendor with no problems clearing the air filter of the six pack.

Did you turn the compressor so the hose fittings come out of the side instead of the top.

Mine is the Classic Auto Air version.  I assume they are mounting in the same location.

Am just scratching the surface in researching Vintage Air as an option for my '73 Challenger (non-factory air with a 440 in it pulled out of a '70 GTX in it. Oh, and it is NOT a 6-pack either).

Still, this thread (amdn, more to the point, this forum) is an incredible knwoledge-infuser and blood pressure reducer
