Have been using a cast iron (factory) version of that pump housing for many years with no problems, but need good radiator and cooling fan; I use a 180 thermostat, 3 core rad, no clutch fan(not enough cooling, using factory flex fan, works well, or use electric fans.

It's been a while I am still going strong on the resto. I got some more interior stuff done see pics. Set the engine in place to check hood clearance. I ordered a LUNATI 60303 cam, lifters, and timing chain on Chrycos recomendation. I read some of the threds on the 440 source pump housings. Pulled mine off and inspected it. Brads70 is right the right hand outlet housing does not appear to have any restriction issues that I can find. When I get the cam I plan to pull the heads and do a half ass port job (running out of money) I will just clean up any casting left overs and smooth everything out. I will also pull the pan and take a look downstairs. Also tore apart the tranny it is ready to go back together as soon as I get a bolt in rear sprag kit. Not sure if I have more money invested in the car or all of the beer it has taken to get it this far. Here are a couple of pics.

Yes those are fuel injectors on the manifold. I know they are not angled right the bungs are not welded in yet. I'll talk more about the injection later. Happy New Year :jumping:

Still going strong. Decided to dig into the beer budget and got a set of stelth heads. Finished the tranny it is ready to bolt in and roast the tires. Tore the engine down some and was pleased to find a forged crank and windage tray. Everything looks good pulled a main cap and rod cap bearings in good condition cyl wear looks good no ridge etc. Put it all back together with new cam, lifters, timing chain, and stealth heads. I am wating for rocker shaft shims (there is to much preload on the lifters). Picture is a mock up intake, valve covers, and header not bolted on.

OK it’s time to take the wrapper off of my engine. It is a 440 with 9.8 to 1 compression, stealth heads, Holley street dominator intake modified (for EFI), Lunati 60303 cam, windage tray, Schumacher try-y headers, and TTI 2.5 x-pipe exhaust . Power pumped through a fresh 727 tranny with a bolt in rear  sprag, hp clutches and bands, and a stage two shift kit. Power to the rear wheels through a 4.11 sure grip diff. EFI is based on 5.0 ford computer with a quarterhorse programmable board. This supplies fully sequential  MPFI and timing control. I have not fired it up yet but will soon. Still waiting on a couple of key parts.

Nice work, does the heater hose in the center look like a 1970 firewall? My 74 is on the lower pass. side under the fan.

I dont understand your question. If you are refering to the extra fittings in the firewall this car came with factory A/C. I would love to put it back on but do not have a place to mount the comperssor. I might try to fab some mounts for under the alternator after I get it going.

amazing job you've done, i have a 70 cuda with a 440 that is going into it and always wanted to try the efi insted of carburator, post up some videos of the car when you start the beast i would love it  :naughty:

NICE! Now if all that EFI stuff cost around $1500.00, I'd be PMing the hell outta you. I'm trying to set up n entire kit using junkyard stuff. Gonna try and run the Ford Distributor in the Mopar 440 as well. This way, I get around the crossfire problem with the wide cap too.

I was going to go the junkyard route and run a ford dizzy but their diameter is too large to fit in a big block mopar it runs into the head and valve covers. Unless you build or buy an offset drive, or lift it up to clear you will need to find a way to stuff ford guts into a mopar dizzy. I have not added it up but I am around $2500.00. If you loose the painless harness $550.00, 95 series mallory dizzy $400.00, use used sensors, injectors, and MAF sensor $? you will be there. There are a lot of used 5.0 parts on e-bay. I'll have to see if I can get this thing to run good before I decide if it was worth it.

 Got some new tires and now she is a roller. Well more than that I drove it today, just up and down the driveway to see how the tranny works (I have a long driveway). I could not resist and punched it and got sideways (wife not impressed)
This thing is going to be fun. lots of work and paint left but it moves (very fast) under its own power.

what some women dont understand is that the car creates even more motivation if its pitched sideways smokeing the tires + mopars bring more excitement .

 Ok been working at work to much and not enough on the Cuda. After hours of blocking and priming I got enough time to shoot some paint. A crapy cell pic.
