brake master cylinder question
«

I have a leaky master cylinder and would like to find a replacement. I have non-power front disc brakes. The only one I can find for a replacement is either power disc or power drum or manual drum.
Will the power disc work with out the booster? Or do I need a specific non power disc master cylinder. Any suggestions for a brand for a new one?
Thanks

chances are the power disk/drum mc has a different bore and stroke. when I added disk to the front of my 68 cuda I went to advance and bought a cardone rebuilt unit for manual frt disc/drum brakes for $23.00 instock ....so I would say try that ...has worked fine for me for the last 5 years

Napa, Rock Auto, etc. carry them. You want one made for the manual brakes so it has the push rod retainer with it.

I went with a Dr Diff aluminum (newer style) master cylinder when I swapped from non-power drums to non-power disks.
