heater motor hole in firewall - not round?
« on: July 18, 2011 - 06:05:44 AM »
Is it normal for the blower motor hole in the firewall not to be round on a 73 'Cuda ?

As you can see I have quite a big gap left over. :'(

The hole is not round.  Your firewall looks correct.  You just need to get the right gasket.  I may have an extra...I can look for it if you need me to.

That would be great if nobody sells them anymore.

You can get any gasket you need from DMT. (Detroit Muscle Technologies)  They sell them in kit form though.  Have a look at their site.  If you don't need any other gaskets, I'll look and see if I have an extra.  If you need more gaskets, it would be better to buy a kit instead of trying to piece them together.  Let me know.

I tried DMT but they don't ship to Australia. I found Roseville Moparts via Google and have ordered with them.

Thank you guys!
