Nice Ride.
good choice with the white stripe.....
Interested on how well the cooper tires wear.

What size tires are they
.

U could try larger tires on rear.......

I use air shocks on my e-bodies.

Fill the gas tank and it sets to low....

Charlie, good news about  your engine.  I plan to be in Graham.  Looking forward to seeing you there.  AARuFAST, my tire size is 245-60x15.  I've been thinking of going to 255's on the rear.  One reason, like you suggest, is a little more height.  Another reason is even with 2.23 rear gears I'm still turning more RPM than I like.  The 245 tires are supposed to be 26.2 (about) inches in diameter but the real height is only 25.5.  I determine tire diameter by measuring from the ground to the center of the hub and doubling it.  This takes into account deflection from the  load of the car.  The 255 tire should actually be  a little over 26 inches.  So far I like the tires and will report any unusual wear patterns.  The traction seems to be good.  Air shocks would be easier than new springs.  I'll consider that.  I had Right Way Spring in Tacoma build springs for a couple other vehicles and they are working well.  I've not had lasting results from re-arching.  Oh, yes the white stripe is on the fender tag as code V6W.  It was long gone when I acquired the car and is a bit unusual for FJ5 but I like it. I highly advise against air shocks.  Their a quick, but poor choice for ride quality, handling and originality.

I think adding another leaf would ruin the ride.

I'd ditch the springs altogether and get OEM AAR/TA springs.

Oh, and definitely more meat...275-60-15 should do it.

Thanks ragtopchally, have a good source for those springs?  And, with new springs there should be room for the 275-60 tires.  PK

Thanks for the favorable comments!  Just got back from Victoria, Canada and the Regional WPC Chrysler meet.  It was great with 103 cars, great weather and the wonderful Canadian hospitality.  My Challenger was on it's maiden voyage, (yes, I know what happened to the Titanic).  Fortunately there were no ice bergs (even on the ferry ride), just great sunny weather.  My car was a big hit.  There was a Ladies peoples choice and a Men's peoples choice.  My car got the Men's award.  Then all the cars were divided into three groups by age and judged by experienced judges.  My car won the 1965-1980 class. But it gets better!!  Being the first time out of town it performed beautifully, traveling 600 miles total, my highway gas mileage was 17.7 mpg.  There were no issues and it drives like a dream.  Love my Challenger!  Life is good------real good!!
PS: Forgot to mention a close, very close encounter with a deer.  If not for those power discs up front and good traction I would've hit it.  PK

Following up on a request for some engine bay pictures I took some today.  They show the more or less completed project and the engine now has 610 miles on it.  It is running great with lots of power.  The intake and exhaust are stock high flow cast iron.  The heads are "Stealth" and the carb is an 850 cfm Thermoquad.  The ignition is Mopar Performance electronic.  The cam is a Lunati 60302 and the pistons are TRW flat tops, .019 below deck.  Everything else is stock.  The radiator is the correct for this car # 2998960.  I modified the wiring by going directly to the starter relay from the alternator and installing a relay system for the now very bright headlights.
