Installed Dr Diff 1" spring kit
« on: August 04, 2011 - 10:15:44 PM »
Installeed the kit in the last 3 days, about 5 or 6 hours.   Hardest part was removing the nuts from the u bolts.   Used alot of wd 40 and then some heat.  The perches are just tack welded.  I will completly weld when I remove the rear end.   Did one at a time to keep everything in the same alignment.  Feels good to get 1 thing acomplished.

I guess I shouldnt weld it yet then.   I'm going from a 904 to a T56.  Still a long way to go.  What angle do I want between the trans and the rearend?  Zero degrees?
Thanks,
Dan

I'm keeping the stock rear suspension.  I'll change if I have any problems.   OK, so I want 2* nose down compared to the tranny.
Thanks

I have contemplating this modification.  I am going with a XV Level 1 kit, and I am wondering if I have to change my shock shaft lenght?  I think the math is A squared + B squared = C squared.  That will be the new overall length of the shock to keep it within its valving curve, right?  I can send my shocks back to have new shafts installed from afco.   Will the sway bars still mount easily, or is there a problem since the mount is moved an inch on each side?  I am going to use a stroker big block, with massive torque, and think a wider rear tire may help with traction.  I am worried this mod can open up alot of hassles trying to get it right.   Any thoughts?  J
