I have never seen that option before either! Very cool I would put that back on for sure.   :2thumbs:

is the whole car suposed to look like this?

Basically yes.  You need to find out what the M88 is.  I don't know if that is the full body stripe or not.  Even if your car didn't have it originally, it would look great if you decided to put it on.  One other thing is that the grill could have been argent(like in the link you posted) or it could have been painted body color.(like the car in the link I posted)  The body color grill looks really good and you won't have to worry about coming up with a correct looking argent...which is hard to do.  The argents available today don't match the factory argents very well.

M88 on an E-body is rear deck lid (chrome) moulding, M88 on a B-body is the quarter panel tape treatment,

In 1970-71 the M88 molding was called "Deck molding treatment".

For 1972-1974 it was called "Deck lid molding treatment", note the difference?

I would paint the hood per the V21, but I wouldn't put on the side strip (which would be V6X if it came with it).  Too many striping if you ask me with both there.

I think for $15k, if it's not a bondo bucket, you got a pretty good deal.

Never seen that hood code before.....  THAT"S really cool!   :woohoo:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I wonder if any black cars came with the V21 option?  Might be a cool combo, even if it never happened from the factory.

Nice ride too!  Share more pics and info on your sweet car!  I love the black tail panel and NO trunk lid/rear quarter chrome too!  CLEAN!
