7 quart oil pan ground clearance isses?

Has anyone used a 7 quart deep center sump oil pan like the one from 440 source?   Is there any ground clearance issues I should need to know about if I get one for my 71 'Cuda 440 engine?

It will hang down below the K member by about 2 1/2". You will need to be very careful going over speed bumps, into steep driveways etc. Doable on a street car but you just need to "always" remember its there.

Unless the nature of your build dictates a lot of oil capacity, I strongly recommend a reproduction hemi 6 qt pan and pick-up. Plenty of oil capacity for a hot street motor, and little or no loss in ground clearance.

I have modified the stock pan with boxes on both sides to increase capacity without decreasing ground clearance

Hey Chryho Psycho,  you seem to know your way around 440 Source,  will their 1/2 inch stroker oil pick up tube work with the Hemi style oil pan?
I also want to use the stroker windage tray.

I would not recommend the 440 Source 7 qt pan. I had one on my Challenger and it had a seam weld leak (factory defect) and 440 Source would not refund my money. I know it's not a bad choice as far as the money, but I bought a Milodon deep sump pan ( a little over 200$ bucks). It has angled sides which allows for the increased oil capacity but because of the configuration with the angled sides, it isn't as deep (close to the ground) as some other deep sump pans made by other manufacturers. You still need to be aware as noted by "footin" that it is lower that a stock pan.

I would just call Mancini & get their 6 qt hemi oil pan & pick up .
 I have not used the 440 source one so I don't know about that ,
 I have used their stroker windage tray with no issues .
Is your block opened up to the 1/2 " pick up size yet ? When I raced my duster at 7200 RPM I had a 10 qt widened pan & 3/8 tube & had no issues for 9 seasons , I really feel with enough oil in the pan & proper baffles you do not needthe 1/2 " pick up

I am building a 440 with the 440 Source 512 stroker kit.   I am pretty much committed to the 1/2 inch oil pick up tube size.   The 440 Source web site states that the 1/2 inch stroker tube was made for the 7 quart pan.   The 1/2 inch tube made for the hemi style pan does not say if it will clear a stroker crank.   You see my problem?   
I don't know what combination I can use.   
I like the hemi pan for the ground clearance.   Is there a 1/2 tube / stroker crank clearance / ground clearance / stroker windage tray combination?  The 7 quart pan looks like the only combination to me that will work right out of the box without special work/skill.

I built a 512 stroker last winter for the Road Runner and used the 440 source 6qt Hemi pan and 101-1010 pickup with no clearance issues. Is this a build that will require more that a 6qt capacity? If not I would just run the hemi pan.

I agree , we have used the Hemi 6 QT pan with the 512 numerous times , no issue , the 3/8 tube clears easily so 1/16 closer should be fine , if it is close heat the tube & make clearance I doubt this would be nessisary though .

Well this does not work.   The windage tray does not fit with pan/pickup combo.   I will have to look at this a little closer.
