well, i think i have found a car i am interested in, if somebody gave me 6,000.00 for this car, i would most likely go after the other car. I know 6,000 isnt alot but its enough to buy a running barracuda, probably not a Cuda, lol. I like my car its the coolest color mopar i have owned, plus it is an A66 original 340 car with the fender tag and a really nice solid body to work from , but i am just basing this on several hours of studying what people are paying for rusty cars in much worse condition.

I'm interested, but need to sell mine first.

This is probably one of the worst places to try to sell a car, unless you're practically giving it away.
My name is Steve and I'm addicted to Challengers...

Yep, people here know how much they cost to restore.  Best to find someone who you can get real excited about and get them to jump on it before it's gone.  ebay and craigslist.   A non rt, non numbers matching project without a trans for $6K is a little high in my opinion.  You might get it and I hope you do, but there's a lot of good deals out there now.  That's about how much I've paid for numbers matching RT projects.

And the Purple is a great color (my favorite!), but it's the color they made the most of.  More 1970 Challengers originally came in Purple than any other color  For Cuda's in 1970 it was FE5 red that topped the list of most popular.

Keep us updated as you get your new car and make sure to posts lots of photos!  :clapping:

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I understand what you are saying Cody, i know they made alot of purple cars that year, what about the A66 part, performance package, i heard that means suspension is better, and came with a stripe around the trunk, i kinda got excited about that part, only reason i decided to start looking to sell is because i am more of an Barracuda/Cuda admirer.

Yes, the A66 is basically an RT package for the 340 Challengers and that package would normally have the butt stripe, but your car is a stripe delete car (V98).  Still a VERY cool package on a Challenger.  Do you have a 340 for the car?  Complete 1970 340's are bringing good money and pretty hard to find.  That would help you get top dollar for the car from someone who wanted a 340 Challenger.

all fender tags denote engine or engine package in a code.  A66 = 70 only = Challenger 340 Performance Package

They probably had to mark the option that was deleted. I think you will eventually sell her and get your cuda lots of challenger fans in the world more than there are challenegers for sure.

A66 = 340 engine, 11" drum brakes, sports hood, 14" wheels, Rallye suspension, stripe, 26" radiator, wheel lip molding is deleted, and a little scat pack bee decal on the quarter window.  The stripe could be deleted as in your car's case.

Check with Barry (Hamtramck Registry) to see if he knows where your motor is?
