Looking to finish my trunk
« on: August 07, 2011 - 09:03:01 PM »
I know its not really interior but I am looking to finish my trunk this coming winter. I want to use black carpet and box all the sides and front of the trunk. Does anyone have any good ideas or pics of cars that they have or have seen with a finished trunk? Any input will help me out...THANKS

I would like to have a finished trunk also.   I am just having it painted along with the rest of the car for now.   I would like to get some ideas too.

I went to a local Mopar show this past weekend and there was a very nice 70 hemi cuda convert there. I took a pic of the trunk to get some ideas. Here it is...

That trunk looks nice bit I am not into stereos that much.   Not knocking it,  just not for me.

Still looking I guess.

I'm with ya on the stereo deal. I want something like this style but no big speakers. Wanting panels to store my spare tire and cleaning supplies.

Big stereos are O.K.

After seeing a 61' Corvette burnt to the ground, I would take precaution now.

Reminds me of my old car pooling days. My next door neighbor drove a 1973 Dodge Dart. He paid $800 bucks for it (this was in the late 80's) and had a sound system that cost far more than the car. We called it the "Death Mobile" as you were taking your life in your hands riding in it!! The front end was so bad, the tires were bald and squealed & one day the tie-rod broke in the downtown tunnel.  :22yikes: If you do put in a high power sound system...just make sure your electrical wiring/system & especially bulkhead connections can handle the power needed to supply the amps. A lot of kids now buy these high power amps and wonder why the alternator burns up and the battery dies!!  :screwy: And I've seen a few Mopars burn up the entire wiring harness from placing too much load on it!!  :sadwavey:
