Headlight bezels = "doors" ??

So I am looking into bying some 74 cuda headlight bezels from a guy.....he says they were sometimes called "doors".

I never heard of this....anyone?

Yep, that was a term my Dad used when I was a kid referring to the trim around his "63 Dart's headlamps.

Have you ever heard of the knobs on a stove referred to as handles? That's what the parts lookup called them back when.

Yeah, a buddy of mine used to call them doors. I think it's a junkyard term.
