sounds like nothing coming out of the alternator..but, check the battery terminal on the back of the alternator using the case for the ground probe.

Umm Say what ?? the blue wire comes from the ign switch to both the reg & alt , the green wire from the field has to return to the reg to ground there , , if it goes to your choke why would it have ever worked
no it does not matter which terminal is which on the alt there is a blue wire to the ballast resistor , from there it should feed the regulator & the Alternator , it may also feed the choke & it seems to be getting power to the alt so that has to be working , so you have a bad ground @ the reg or a bad reg or a bad alt , just because it was rebuilt means nothing , i have seen new alts last less than 100 miles
do you not have an ohm meter ?How is the job situation now ??
