That fender tag shows H51 - air conditioning.
Yet that firewall is obviously non-AC.

Very interesting. So since this car is very rust free, would that mean during restoration someone could've just taken the fender tag and anything associated with that vin (like dash, tranny, engine, etc) and put all of that into a good body?

Yes thats a good possibility. Need to check cowl and radiator support stamped vins.

This car's now on eBay. Seems like $32,500 might have been a good deal back then? After some research, this thread found that the car was originally an AC car (if I remember correctly) but didn't have an AC firewall. I never checked the cowl and rad supports to see if the numbers matched. Either way, it's bringing good $$$ now.

Anyone else?
Numbers on block obviously ground up and stamped.
