Yeah I saw that and have to eat my own foot.

Well I know where you're coming from.
The first reports were it was a big ol' Ice ball disintregating as it was coming in.

But then later estimates were it was the size of a Mini Van flying in at full speed.

Everytime I'm in traffic, the minivans are the slowest moving vehicles and always in the fast lane right in front of me.

After years of walking up and down the Platte river, I couldn't even find an Indian arrowhead. Other people find them all the time.

Unfortunately, not all meteorites are worth lots of cash.
It depends on the mineral make up of the meteorite.

The states where there is snow for long periods of time are the best places to find the meteorites.
I hear the great lakes are good for this when they freeze up.
You just have to look for the black marks in the ice and chip them out.

I have hunted gold, diamonds, aquamarines, rubies, sapphires, Amythest, smokies, phenakite, etc. etc. etc.  and I have never found a meteorite that I know of.
There are more than just meteorites that will buy you a hemi.

I was hearing they said it is estimated to be worth 20 grand. It was only 2 inches around.
Yup that could do a Hemi up.
