oringinal un restored promo car JS27V0B100XXX for sale
« on: August 24, 2011 - 05:08:01 PM »
Due to lack of local interest I will offer my Challenger for sale that I have owned since 78. JS27V0B1004XX. Its one of the "promo" or "show" cars Chrysler made on day one production. Still in its original paint. Bought it in Calif in 78. Moved to the N.E. 20 years ago and have not had much time to drive it (Did drive it cross country) last time on the road was 3/4 years ago.
This is a red (fe5) on red car with all the goodies on it. 440 six pack/4speed/4:10 Dana 60 super track pack option. Engine was rebuilt about 30K back and is still tight. Harden seats in the head. I will get some photos up soon as I do not have a photo spread of it like you would want to see it if you are looking to buy. Years ago I use to take it to English town but it was to much of a pain dealing with people who would track me down to New Hampshire with offers. Please PM me with your offers-I do have a price in mind and the first person that gets to it will have a sale-this is not a auction and I will not sell to the highest bidder, just the first one to hit my number-which is not that high but is over 100K and less that 200K. If you do not live to far and will pay for the gas and bus back I can drive it to you. Body is very good-interior is burnt but I do have a new one waiting to go in. I am the second owner of this car.

Its not sitting outside and its not rusted-you are looking at original paint-no body work ever on this car. Up until about 1990 it was still in Calif were I bought it. True the last 20 years it is here in New Hampshire but I did build a 70'X30" building for it and my other cars that is dry and tight. Its never been in snow.

You have an extremely rare car with tons of potential.  Unfortunately, your price is the same or not too far off of what you would get if the car was restored.  The market is really flat right now.  It is just a bad time to sell.

It does-or at least a rang as these thing are a negotiation. "I will not sell to the highest bidder, just the first one to hit my number-which is not that high but is over 100K and less that 200K."

No you are right -that is a rust hole about the size of my hand caused by a sea gull feather that got stuck in a body drain right behind the pass door were the top mech is open to the world. Not road salt. This car has never seen road salt or snow. It happened about 30 years ago and has not spread and its the only one. There is a hole in the trunk floor caused by the muffler dropping off and digging into the road (the exhaust is 40 some years old).

Nice car!  Reminds me of this one that I think is selling for ~$250k:

RE:  "VIN Number, you can see were Calif came up with JS27VCB100421 instead of JS27V0B100421-for those that want to reasearch the vin..."

Huh?  I think you're reading the VIN tag wrong.  The buildsheet shows a ZERO so I'm sure that VIN tag is a ZERO.  Not a "C".

ragtop, I don't see an asking price on the listing you posted.  Did you contact them?

Please read what I was saying-California read the vin wrong and came up with the "C". I am pointing out that the "0" (zero) is correct as it refers to the year made (1970) and there is no 197C for the year

Very Nice Car!

But, it's only worth what someone will pay for it.

In todays stalled economy, I'll bet none of those cars listed are moving at those asking prices.

Why are you so afraid to list your asking price? Or are you just trying to make a game of it!
If you don't know what it is worth, try posting pics and a question on our "what's it worth" link.
 Good luck on the sale.
If I cant fix it, it's broke
