    hey guys i jus bought a 78 dodge truck ... th window sticker said it had a 360 but i dont knwo if it is still in thee... how can I identify what engine is inside????? without disassembling....

    I believe it's drivers side. It will clearly say "318" or "360" in ~3/4" tall numbers

    if you scrape below the left cylinder head , the # will be stamped on the block
     is it a hooley or carter carb , holley was 360 but the intak ecould have been swapped

    There is a long raised casting number above the starter motor and in the middle it will have ### 318 ### or ### 360 ###, it can get a bit oily and dirty so you might have to scrape the crud off.   :thumbsup:
