1969 Dodge Daytona in a Farm
« on: September 02, 2011 - 05:02:13 PM »
Well I found another Daytona, this one isn't sitting nicely inside.  An original owner car, has seen better days.

I know its private property & all, but I really don't like people who hold onto cars without at least protecting them from the elements.  There were so few of these made, its like letting a piece of our history disolve in your back yard.  I feel the same way when historic old buildings are torn down to make way for a new shopping center, a civil war battlefield is lost to new development, etc.  Yeah its his (or her) car, but if they aren't going to save it they ought to sell it to someone else who will.  Just my .02.  (stepping off soap box now)

Very cool find, Ryan!!! :grinyes:  I know of a few gems around the Watertown/Jefferson/Johnson Creek area & my bro-in-law still tells me some cool stories about a couple Hemis that are just chilling around the area (one in a car & one out). :2thumbs:

BTW: Do you plan on going to the Jefferson Car Show/Swap Meet this fall?  It would be cool to finally get a chance to meet you & hear some of your stories.

Nice pix and write up.  Too bad the "valuable" stuff went in the garage and the Daytona had to sit outside...

Sorry about the delay in a responding.  Been a bit busy.  It is pretty awesome to see this kinda car unrestored, but also extremely sad.  I hope to work something out with them to protect the car atleast.

Eh, don't know if you guys are interesting in what I found before the Daytona.  But here it is.  Some GM stuff, a Rallye Challenger though.
