How and where to locate the Temp. and Defrost/heat cables under the dash?

Where do the temp control, and defrost/heat cables route under the dash? part of the clutch pedal comes up and hits the cable or the cable is in the way if i route it where i thought it should go, which is under the steering column.  If i put them up over the steering column/pedal bracket, then they have too much of a bend in them.    I am sure it is simple, but i can't figure it out. Help please

I just looked & mine go up quickly to a hole in the brake bracket below where another brace or bracket attaches above.

Ok, that helps a lot. i noticed a couple holes in the bracket frame, just wasnt sure. i will give that a try tomorrow and see how they look. Thanks for looking at yours and getting back to me.
