The 80's version of "The Thing" is one of my all time favorate movies I'm looking forward to seeing the latest one. Any MST3K fans here?

Love MST3K.

I liked the 50s version of The Thing, but the 80s version is a lot closer to the original short story.

Aha, thanks for the enlightenment, Dave.  No cable/satelite TV, I think I know what you are talking about though.  Sci-fi movies with comments from puppets/muppets/robots in the audience of a theater?

You're thinking about the right thing, yes. Very funny stuff.

Love MST3K.

I liked the 50s version of The Thing, but the 80s version is a lot closer to the original short story.

I like both but John Carpenter's IMO was the best. He has put out some of my favorates Big Trouble in Little China, They Live (one of the funniest fight scenes ever!) The Thing and Halloween of course. There was a guy on ebay selling full seasons of MST3K including the cable access ones from the beginning. I love that show never laughed so hard!   :roflsmiley:

Phantasm is begging for MST3K commentary. We had a blast talking trough the movie. There is a thread here from a few years ago detailing where all the Phantasm movie 'cud's ended up, and talking abou the one that got away. Also states one of the movie cars was for sale last December...
