2nd one...
the first one was also my first one... I wasn`t too happy when I finished it and now the interior is in, I decided it`s time for a second try.
figured I might as well post my how to.
I came to the conclusion these cars are not the easiest to build something into... nothing`s straight or inline, so I tried to tackle it this way:
first I build me a frame of 4mm weldingwire with all contoures. Since I already have the interior in and I just have a stickwelder, I had to go in and out to fit and tack the parts in place
once the frame fit well I started shaping and tacking pieces of 1mm sheetmetal in the gaps. ( not reccomended to use a stickwelder... lol )
I used the englishwheel to curve the bigger sidepanels. After all sheetmetal is tacked in place, I`ll use a mig welder to finish the welds. Next is grinding down the outside and finish it up with some filler to get it nice and smooth.
the stereo will get a wood panel with some chrome trim to match the instrumentcluster.
I`ll update here as work progresses
