    finally got the stereo in.  I added some aluminum trim to kinda get a match with the looks of the dash cluster.  I also had a nice piece of wood to fit the "thrash and sunglasses departement" of the console,  but it fit a little tight...  :stomp:  slid right in and I had to cut it out with a chisle.....  :bricks1:  I hate wood....  :eek4:
    so, this little project will get some fine-tuning in the next days ,but you get the idea...

    What're the function of the switches in the panel where the radio used to go, and do you have indicator LEDs on the left side of the steering column?   :clueless:

    that`s headlights, interior light, rearwindow blower and one not in use yet.  no led`s on the left side. they are switches to set the gauges min`s and max`s...

    the gauges are speedhut revolution series.  look great ,no clue if they work...  I suppose so...  :biggrin:

    Have you thought about sourcing some little rubber thingies they put in OEM cup holders that you can take out and clean? I appreciate those when I detail my Chrysler SUV. They collect a lot of grime and crumblings of things.

    1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

    I think the one thing that will finish it all off now would be the installation of a Disco ball instaed of a interior light :thinkerg:

    Cup holders? Lucky!  Apparently people didn't get thirsty in these cars back in the 70's, but they sure did smoke a lot.  Nice work on the console!

    I love the way it looks and fits. The only thing is the welds in the tray you could add a wood bottom to cover them. Great metal working paint and wood too. You are a master thinkerer! You do great work!  :clapping:
