Helping a friend
« on: September 08, 2011 - 08:49:32 PM »
Met a lady that was selling some e-body stuff.  She lives in the Charleston SC area.  Stuff that I saw that she had when I was there last,
71 cuda grill, 72 and later cuda grill broken down the middle, 70 cuda fenders, doors, 8 3/4 rear,  one pair of blue seats(can't remember the year) heater box, 2 833's for b body, 340 motor disassembled, interior panels (many) 72 up tail lights, gill inserts for 71 fenders, some challenger stuff, and more.  She was very reasonable for the parts I got.  Just thought I would share this with some of you guys. Hope this helps one of you.  You can contact her by email.

Best of luck.

From the looks of the posts, none of you had any luck getting with this seller.  I had the opportunity to get up with her today.  She still has some parts left.  I actually picked up a few.  She is selling the house that her late husband had all of the parts stored at.  She still has the 71 grill.  It is not in one piece anymore but I think it is repairable.  72-74 grill split in half, b-body 4 speed and I think an overdrive 4 speed, 2 bucket seats from a 70 or 71 in blue, couple of dash pads that are in rough shape but good cores, 70 or 71 non gilled fender, 2 steering columns, flat hoods, power brake booster with mc, 340 block is gone but the heads are cleaned and bagged, challenger fender spears, a box of 70 or 71 side marker lights, one fully rebuilt and crated hemi 4 speed, black seat belts, part of lower dash with map light and switch still attached, many power steering pumps, one manual steering box, one mint 71 drivers door, multiple other challenger and cuda doors and many chevy parts.  There probably is more that I can't think of right now.  Let me know if any of this stuff interests you.  I will get in touch with her for you since she doesn't seem to contact people she doesn't know.

The side marker lights are all cuda.  The hemi box is ebody.  I couldn't tell you what gearing is in the rear.  The tag is missing.  It is sitting in the grass.  I wanted to prop it up and turn it to see if both wheels turned in the same direction but I had no one to help me.  It looks like it has 11" drums on it.  She has a chunk sitting in a bucket.  I didn't get a chance to look at the ring gear for the ratio.  I'll see if her son can check it for you if you are interested.

Well, she finally emailed me back.  She sent some more pictures but didn't give me the prices she wanted.  What she said is she would have to research them but if someone wants to make an offer, it is welcomed.  From my experience with her, she has accepted every offer I made.  So if you do see something you would like, make an offer.  The worst she can say is no.  She travels to Virginia regularly so she can probably bring some parts up that way.  If you need me to take a better look at a part you like, let me know.  I can stop and look at it for you when I go to Charleston.  I know she wanted $250 for each trans.  Send me a pm if you have any questions.
