    Hey guys, You'll probably remember a while ago I was on here picking your brains about rear suspensions.  My cuda has a B-body rear end, the 3/4 inch mopar performance relo kit, 17x9.5 wheels and I was wondering which springs I should order.  Well I ended up ordering the e-body superstocks that Mancini recommended for my car but I am not too happy with the stance, A little high for my liking.  At the time I ordered I asked mancini's if the a-body xhd (extra heavy duty) springs would fit and they said they wouldn't because the front bushing is a different size on the A bodies???  Anyway, at the time I just went with what they suggested and now that I've done a little more reading it seems like the MP A-body XHD springs (part # MRE19811982) will fit and I realy like the look of some of the cars I have seen with this setup (check out this car, it says he is running MP XHDs and if he has the 3/4 relo kit like it says he does they must be the a-body XHD's right?  Wouldn't the e-body XHD's be way too long with the front hanger that the relo kit comes with? http://barracuda.ourgarage.com/)  So I guess I have two main questions:  will these springs fit with my setup? (if the front bushing is the problem like mancinis said can't I just switch it out or is the actual bushing mount a different size?) and what performance deficiencies will these springs have as comparred to the superstocks (I know the car won't hook up quite as well but I will probably keep the superstocks anyway in case I decide to race one day), will the car bottom out with the a-body springs on it or will there be handling issues.  Thanks once again for taking the time to read and answer my questions.     I see no problem withe the XHD A body spring working well in you car , it will handle the weight & the cornering will not suffer , I just don`t know for sure about the front spring eye being different , it may use a different bushing or bolt diameter , although I don`t believe it does as A body SS springs can be used for both  :dontknow:

    The next question I have is does anyone know if the Mancini springs (part # MRE19811982) is the mopar performance springs repackagedunder Mancini's name or are they there own springs, or another brand altogether?  I sent mancini this question but am waiting on an answer.  Has anyone put these springs on their car?  The reason I ask is that the Mopar performance springs from my local dodge dealer here in town are 240 each side while the pair from Mancini are right around $200.

    Yeah, I know most of their springs are mopar performance just not sure about the a-body ones, check this link out :dontknow:

    mancini sells alot of mopar stuff under there name...If you look closely at part numbers usually the last few didgits of manicini's match mopars last few part number digits!....

    What spring kit part number did you use that you dont like the stance of? and post a pic please if ya got one???

    What weight springs did you get?  3300 or 3600?  I was curious because it was suggested to me to try the smaller weight spring to get a lower stance.

    For those interested here is my e-mails to a from Mancini, It seems as though Mopar actually buys their springs from Mancini :dontknow:

    Hey, I recently ordered a set of e-body superstock springs from you guys for my 70 Cuda.  The car has a b-body rearend in it and a mopar performance 3/4 inch bolt in relocation kit.  While the superstocks fit well I am not pleased with the stance of the car and have been doing a little more research.  It seems that the A-body XHD springs are the ones to go with in my situation.  The car has the relo kit with the longer front hanger so the a-bodys would be the right length (same length as a superstock right?) and I've seen a few cars with this setup and the stance looks right to me.  Anyway, are your springs part number MRE19811982 the same as the mopar performance part # P4510268 and P4510269 or are the your own springs?  Can you see any fitment problems arrising with this setup (3/4 inch relo kit, b-body rear and a-body XHD leafs in an e-body) in my car?  Thanks for the info, I look forward to placing another order.     Hello Tyler,
        The XHD leafs are the same distance and fit as the A & B body Super Stocks. I measured, and yes, they should fit right in, if you have the 3/4" inboard kit installed.
        The MRE and the Mopar springs are one in the same.
    The only thought I would have is longevity, as the A body XHD are lighter than the B body XHD.

    Art, thanks for getting back to me.  So are those a-body springs just repackaged mopar performance ones or are they just a similar spring?  The reason I ask is my friend has a set of the mopar ones installed on his challenger and I know they work well, so I was wondering when you say the MRE and Mopar springs are one and the same if that means they are similar or really the same thing.  As far as longevity goes I'll just have to take my chances, this car will be a weekend only car anyway so that may help, a lot of guys on the internet are running this setup with no problems. What is the price on a set of these and what would shipping be to Seattle (a ballpark shipping quote is fine).  Also would I pay sales tax?  Again thanks for your response, I look forward to hearing back from you so I can place an order.  Tyler

        Yes, they buy the springs from us.
    Pricing is $174.95 a pair, and shipping to Seattle will run about $65.00 for the pair. MRE1981/1982 A Body XHD.
    There is not tax yet on "out of state" orders.
