Did R/T cars come with 15" wheels from the factory?  I think I'm going to 245/60/15 on my 71 Challenger in the near future.  :grinyes:

Big block cars came with 14 X 6 inch wheels with 15 X 7 optional.
The 340 T/A and 426 hemi cars came with the plain steel/Rallye 15 X 7 size as standard.

I have 15x8" wheels all around on my '70 Challenger R/T. Same dimensions as you are thinking about.  ;)

where is the best place to pickup 15" rallye rims? I see used ones bringing new prices. Would like to buy rims, rings, and centers at one place. Is there anything I should know about buying repro rallyes?

Mike,
  You can check out Year One or Eastwood for the complete sets. I bought a pair of repro's from Eastwood and didn't have any trouble.

How much backspacing do you guys have on your rims that are 15X7's or 15X8's.  I have been looking at 15X8" with 3 7/8" backspacing for all four wheels.  Will that get me into any trouble or, depending on the tire size, will I need to use the spring relo. kit?  I have always liked magnum 500's but I really like the cragar keystones ------------>

A110235,
 The 15X7 and 15X8 Ralleys have 4.5 inch backspacing, so you are well clear of any trouble.  :thumbs:

I just measured my lug bolt spacing and I get 4.3" from adjacent holes. I thought they were either 4" or 4.5"

Maybe I am measuring wrong?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that most mopars are 4 1/2".  The most common are 4 1/2, 4 3/4, and 5 inch bolt spacing.  To measure what you have on that wheel you measure the outside of one hole to the outside of either of the opposite holes (not the adjacent).

          1 --------->   O

                     O          O

        2 ---------> O      O

The measurement may not come out dead-nuts on 4 1/2 but is should be within 1/8" or so.
